Queens, NY – A serious pedestrian accident occurred on Friday afternoon at the intersection of 43rd Ave and 48th St in Sunnyside, Queens. The New York Police Department (NYPD) received reports of the incident at approximately 4:26 p.m., which resulted in a pedestrian suffering critical injuries.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the pedestrian was attempting to cross westbound on 43rd Ave when they were struck by a vehicle. The force of the impact caused the pedestrian to fall to the ground, prompting emergency responders from the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) to rapidly arrive at the scene. Firefighters were instrumental in removing the pedestrian from the roadway, while paramedics worked to provide urgent medical attention.
