Train Incident in Queens Leads to Service Delays, According to Officials

Car accident in Queens

In Queens, New York, commuter services on the No. 7 train line were temporarily suspended on Monday due to an incident where an individual was struck by a train.

The abrupt suspension affected both directions between Hunters Point Avenue and the 74th Street-Broadway station. As the emergency services attended the scene, travelers faced significant delays, and alternative routes had to be sought.

Following the accident, officials conducted an immediate investigation while first responders tended to the situation. The identity and condition of the person struck have not been released to the public.

Subway operations on the line were affected for several hours. Commuters were advised to check for real-time updates and plan their travel accordingly. By later in the day, service had been restored albeit with delays, as the authorities finalized their on-site activities.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority reminded passengers that safety is paramount and urged anyone witnessing unsafe conditions to report them immediately.
