Fatal Collision at Bronx Intersection Leaves Two Dead, Three Injured

Car accident in Queens

Two fatalities occurred in the Bronx when a BMW, allegedly speeding, ran a red light and collided with a vehicle at Jerome Avenue and East Fordham Road early on Saturday morning. The violent impact sent the BMW crashing into a subway station pillar, resulting in the death of its 23-year-old driver and 21-year-old passenger, police stated.

The incident, which took place at approximately 4:15 a.m., involved the BMW clipping a Nissan Rogue, causing both vehicles to spin out of control. The aftermath saw the BMW strike the support column of an elevated structure for the No. 4 train, tragically ending the lives of the two young men inside, according to officials.

In the Nissan Rogue were three women who sustained injuries from the crash. They were promptly transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where they are receiving treatment. Latest reports indicate that all three women are expected to survive the ordeal. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the devastating collision.
