In a serious incident on Friday evening in Valley Stream, Nassau, a woman was hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash that resulted in her car hitting a residential building.
The collision occurred around 6:40 p.m. on March 15, when a 2015 Infiniti, driven by a 30-year-old woman, collided with a 2013 Honda operated by a 65-year-old man at the intersection of Green Street and Ash Street, according to Nassau County Police.
Following the crash, the Infiniti was propelled into a nearby home on Green Street, causing minor structural damage.
The driver of the Infiniti sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. No residents in the home were harmed during the incident.
A Town of Hempstead building inspector was called to the scene to assess the condition of the affected home.
Thankfully, no further injuries were reported in connection with the accident.
Officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading up to the collision, and updates will follow as more information becomes available.
